SÃO PAULO REGIONAL COUNCIL OF PSYCHOLOGY – 6th REGION

RESOLUTION No. 12/2025, JUNE 10, 2025

Provides for the creation of the journal Revista Práticas Psi: Práticas Profissionais em Psicologia [Psi Practices Journal: Professional Practices in Psychology] and other provisions.

The São Paulo Regional Council of Psychology – 6th Region – CRP-06, in the exercise of its legal and statutory duties;

CONSIDERING the relevance and the need to disseminate and promote the professional practice of Psychology in its different contexts of practice, in view of the social needs of the State of São Paulo and of Brazil;

CONSIDERING the decision of the 2,473rd Ordinary Plenary Session of the São Paulo Regional Council of Psychology – 6th Region – CRP-06, of May 17, 2025;

RESOLVES:

Art. 1. To establish, under the full responsibility of the São Paulo Regional Council of Psychology – 6th Region – CRP-06, the publication entitled Revista Práticas Psi: Práticas Profissionais em Psicologia [Psi Practices Journal: Professional Practices in Psychology].

Art. 2. The Revista Práticas Psi represents regional and national thought in Psychology and shall constitute an instrument of communication open to all psychologists, providing them with updated technical and scientific information of historical significance.

Sole Paragraph. The journal must encompass the plurality of the various research lines, theoretical approaches, and trends in Psychology.

Art. 3. CRP-06, based on its commitment to the promotion and defense of human rights, understands that the production and socialization of historically and collectively produced knowledge from the work of authors represents a contribution to the common good and to the qualification and recognition of professional practice ethically committed to social changes that contribute to the promotion of a fairer and socially democratic society.

§ 1. The content of the Revista Práticas Psi shall follow the principles of psychological science, access to knowledge, and the implementation of transparency and open data in accordance with the best applicable standards.

§ 2. The content of the Revista Práticas Psi shall be licensed under the Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial 4.0 International License or another similar license or one that may replace it.

Art. 4. The abbreviated title of the journal, for citation in footnotes and references, is Rev. Prát. Psi.: Prát. Prof. Psi.

Art. 5. The Plenary of CRP-06 shall delegate the administration of the journal to an Editorial Committee, which shall be a special committee of the Autarchy, composed of two councilors as full members and two councilors as alternate members.

Sole Paragraph. Alternate members shall keep themselves informed about the progress of work related to the journal and shall replace full members whenever the latter are unable to perform their duties.

Art. 6. It shall be the responsibility of the Editorial Committee of the Revista Práticas Psi to ensure that the journal:

I – Has thematic relevance, operational and financial sustainability, and editorial qualification in evaluating, communicating, and promoting research in specific subjects, disciplines, or thematic areas defined in this Resolution or others that may replace it;

II – Has its performance measured by bibliometric indicators;

III – Promotes diversity, equity, inclusion, and accessibility in evaluation and communication;

IV – Has a scientific character, considering the appropriateness and timeliness of review articles and debates;

V – Has a scientific character, considering original research or reflection articles, their coherence with the thematic orientation of the journal, and their contribution to advancing knowledge;

VI – Maintains a high standard of quality regarding the research methodology adopted by original articles accepted for publication;

VII – Adopts the peer review and evaluation model for all submitted articles, in accordance with the best practices of open science and processes adopted by reference journals in the field.

Sole Paragraph. The Editorial Committee of the Revista Práticas Psi shall be responsible for safeguarding the technical and scientific quality of the journal, ensuring the adoption of good editorial practices, transparency criteria, and ethical standards in publication, in line with nationally and internationally recognized guidelines.

Art. 7. It shall be the duty of the Editorial Committee of the Revista Práticas Psi to submit to the CRP-06 Board proposals for the hiring of companies or specialized services that ensure its full functioning and regularity of publication.

Art. 8. The journal shall not charge fees for full access to published content, following the open science model and making texts fully available in electronic format.

Art. 9. The Editorial Committee of the Revista Práticas Psi shall ensure the continuity and periodicity of the journal, adopting practices and guidelines consistent with the principles of ethical and responsible public governance, aligned with the parameters of current environmental, social, and governance (ESG) policies, in accordance with the financial reality of CRP-06.

Art. 10. The Editorial Committee of the Revista Práticas Psi shall work jointly with the Institutional Communication Committee of CRP-06 to define a strategy for disseminating the journal through the Autarchy’s official social media channels.

Art. 11. Cases not provided for in this Resolution shall be decided by the Plenary of CRP-06.

Art. 12. An ordinance of CRP-06 shall regulate operational aspects of an administrative nature and everything else necessary for the implementation of this Resolution.

Art. 13. This Resolution shall take effect on the date of its publication.
